This is the first time I experience this issue and it all started when yesterday I bought a book and the cover was missing on my Ereader, then I sign out and sign in to check and now were even more books with the issue.
Just to clarify, this only happens with most of the books I purchased on Kobo, but the ones I get from somewhere else works as expected, so this must be something to do with Kobo. What I tried so far?: I repaired my account, deleted and downloaded the books again, did a full factory reset to the Ereader, etc. The thing is that this happens in my Ereader and also in the desktop app so I do not have any idea about the cause. Of all the 30 books I have bought, there are like 20 that stopped displaying the cover. I am having some weird issue with the covers of the books I purchased on since yesterday. Unbeknownst to me, it now starts itself every. I installed some patches from here, then installed this KoboLauncher. For a bit of context, I picked up a damaged Kobo Touch N905B two days ago at a Thrift Shop, fully updated it, then started tinkering.

I connected over WiFi, which I had no option to avoid, and the very first thing this garbage thing does is download and install the latest firmware against my wishes. N905B Can't remove internal SD card, also can't return to Nickel. The very first thing I had to do after setting the time is connect it either over WiFi, or to install their software that I don't want. Current and future radar maps for assessing areas of precipitation, type, and intensity. I said screw it, and did a complete restore to put it back to factory new. That's terrible, so I tried rolling back to an earlier firmware, but now Calibre is saying that is doesn't recognize that firmware, and Windows 7 (which is also complete s**t) only has a 25% chance of recognizing the reader, a 25% chance of telling my I have to scan for errors and a 50% chance of telling me I have to format it to use it. I installed the newest one, which I haven't done in a long time, only to find they put the chapter as the header and the book as the footer. But they really just keep finding new ways to make the firmware worse with every new "update". I bought a Kobo Aura One when they first came out.
